Chicano Studies Professor Angelita Rovero leads ELAC students through the process of creating altars focused on specific aspects of Chicano and Mexican culture and history, as a way of actualizing curriculum through independent research, group participation and the creative process. This is the 13th annual exhibition of altars organized in collaboration with the Chicana/o Studies Department at ELAC, and features ofrendas (offerings to the deceased) that represent a range of course-related topics.
